He continues with his recommendation that it “is for further quality research (such as randomised control trail) to examine whether clary sage essential oil could be used in aromatherapy treatments to induce labour…”

We’re delighted that Samuel Todd is focusing on this subject, as at Aromatherapy for Childbirth we have long had an awareness of this lack of evidence-based practice research with Clary Sage, and so have conducted our own survey into practice-based evidence from those who have experience of the widespread use of Clary Sage in labour, as we had heard many stories about how Clary Sage had supported induction and good progress during labour. We published the results on our website blog in 2018 when we had 28 respondents and you can see the results here.

Take part in our Clary Sage Survey

The survey is still open and to date has 158 respondents. If you have seen or experienced the use of Clary Sage we would love you to add to this survey. It only takes less than 5 minutes.  Thank you.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”turquoise” border_width=”2″ css=”.vc_custom_1624019120500{margin-top: 40px !important;margin-bottom: 40px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”26449″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link”][vc_column_text]
